How to Play Simple FreeCell

Cards sit large and clear on screen, controls stay out of your way, and every move feels exactly as satisfying as you remember. Whether you grew up with FreeCell on an old family PC or you are picking it up for the first time, this is the version that gets out of your way and lets you think.

Choose a game mode from Classic FreeCell, Baker's Game, Eight Off, or Two Deck FreeCell
Deal a new hand and survey the eight columns before your first move
Move cards to the four free cells to open up plays deeper in the tableau
Build foundation piles by suit from Ace to King to clear the board
Review your game history and replay any previous deal to push your win percentage higher

Controls

Tap or click a card to select it, then tap or click the destination to move it. Large card faces make every rank and suit readable at a glance.

Scoring

Your results are logged automatically after each game, so your win percentage updates over time and reflects every hand you have ever played.

When does a round end?

A round ends when all cards are stacked on the foundation piles by suit, or when no legal moves remain.

Tips & Tricks

Empty free cells are your most valuable resource — avoid filling all four at once or you will lock yourself out of key moves
Prioritize uncovering Aces and Twos early, since the foundation piles cannot grow until those low cards are placed
In Two Deck FreeCell the tableau gets crowded fast, so plan at least three moves ahead before committing a free cell
Go back to a lost deal in your game history and replay it rather than skipping on — replaying tough hands is the fastest way to improve
