How to Play Hearts Deluxe

Controls

The controls are designed to feel natural and responsive, so you spend your attention on the cards, not the interface.

Scoring

Players aim for the lowest score possible by avoiding Hearts, each worth one point, and the Queen of Spades, worth thirteen — the fewer penalty cards you collect, the better.

When does a round end?

A round ends when a player's score crosses the agreed threshold, and the person with the fewest points at that moment wins.

Tips & Tricks

Pass your three highest-risk cards — the Queen of Spades and high Spades — to opponents early whenever the pass direction allows
If you hold enough Hearts to cover every trick, consider Shooting the Moon to flip the scoring and burden everyone else with 26 points instead
Try Omnibus Mode to experience an extra scoring card that changes which risks are worth taking mid-hand
Lower the AI difficulty first to learn each mode's unique rules, then raise it once the strategy feels familiar
