How to Play Backgammon V+

Choose to play against the computer or pass the device to a second player
Select a difficulty level that matches your experience, from beginner through to expert
Roll the dice, then drag your pieces along the board toward your inner table
Use the hint system when you want guidance, or undo a move if you change your mind
Bear off all 15 of your pieces before your opponent does to win the game

Controls

Pieces are moved by tapping or dragging on the board. If you ever suspect the dice are unfair, roll your own physical dice and enter those values manually — the game tracks every roll so you can check the history yourself.

Scoring

A score card tracks results across sessions. The optional doubling cube is available if you want to add stakes and strategic pressure to each game.

When does a round end?

A round ends when one player successfully bears off all 15 of their pieces from the board.

Tips & Tricks

Play the doubling cube early when you have a strong board position — it puts real pressure on your opponent before they can recover
Use 'Show Last Move' after the computer plays at expert level to study why it made that choice
If you are new, start on beginner and focus on building a strong anchor in your opponent's home board before racing
When you are stuck, tap Hint rather than moving on instinct — over time you will start to see those suggested moves yourself

The classic game of Backgammon has been played throughout the world for thousands of years. ZingMagic's critically acclaimed version of Backgammon was the one of the first Backgammon game for UWP. Continual updates and improvements ensure it remains one of the best versions available.

In essence Backgammon is a simple race game. The object is to move the pieces around the board towards your inner table. Once all 15 of your pieces have arrived in the inner table, they can be removed from the board. The first player to remove all his pieces from the board is the winner. Although game play is highly skilful, moves rely on the roll of the dice introducing an element of luck.

A common complaint against all Backgammon dice games is that it cheats. So does it cheat? absolutely not, what would be the point? Still don’t believe us then roll your own dice outside the game and enter those values to play against any of the game levels. Backgammon also keeps track of all the dice rolls so you can check on the game yourself.
