How to Play Klondike Solitaire HD Free

Cards glide into place with a clean, responsive feel whether you tap the screen or click the mouse — no clutter, just the game. If you enjoy a calm, focused card game you can pick up for two minutes or two hours, this one is built for you.

  1. Install and open the game to be dealt your first hand immediately
  2. Tap or click a card to select it, then tap or click the destination to move it
  3. Build four foundation piles, one per suit, running from Ace up to King
  4. Arrange tableau columns in alternating colors and descending order to free buried cards
  5. Draw from the stock pile whenever no tableau move is available

Controls

The game works with both mouse and touchscreen, so you can play however feels natural on your device. Tap a card to pick it up, tap a valid column or foundation to place it.

Scoring

Work through the deck and move all 52 cards to the four foundation piles to complete the game — every clean sequence you build gets you closer to a full clear.

When does a round end?

A round ends when all cards reach the foundation piles in suit order from Ace to King, or when no legal moves remain in the tableau or stock.

Tips & Tricks

  • Uncover face-down tableau cards before drawing from the stock — buried cards are the main bottleneck in most stuck games
  • Move Kings to empty columns only when you have a useful sequence to place under them, not just to fill the space
  • Prioritize freeing Aces and Twos early; getting low foundation cards out quickly opens more legal moves across the board
  • When two moves seem equal, prefer the one that reveals a face-down card rather than simply shifting an already-visible stack
