How to Play Jewels of Rome: Match-3 and City Building Game!

You step into the sandals of a newly appointed prefect, matching gems to gather resources and watch a ruined settlement rise into a city worthy of the empire. If you enjoy puzzles that mean something and stories that pull you forward, this one is built for you.

Swap adjacent gems on the board to form matches of three or more
Collect the resources each match produces
Spend those resources to construct and upgrade buildings in your settlement
Follow the storyline to uncover Cassius's schemes and protect your citizens
Combine boosters and power-ups to clear tougher boards as levels increase in difficulty

Controls

Tap or click a gem and drag it onto a neighbour to swap — the board does the rest. Everything is handled with single-pointer input, so a mouse or touchscreen both work naturally.

Scoring

Each level has a target you need to hit before moves run out; stars earned reflect how efficiently you cleared the board and can mark your progress against friends through the built-in social network.

When does a round end?

A round ends when you complete the level objective within the available moves, or when your moves are exhausted before the goal is reached.

Plan matches from the bottom of the board — cascades from above often clear upper obstacles without spending extra moves
Save your boosters for levels that have tightly clustered blockers rather than burning them early on open boards
